- Are a female 18 years of age or older
- Believe you may currently have a gonorrhea infection
- Are interested in taking part in a clinical study for a new test for gonorrhea infections

What happens if I sign up? We will match you to a clinical study location in your area that needs female participants who think they may have a gonorrhea infection or notify you when one becomes available. The study team will then contact you and you may have the opportunity to participate if qualified.

The OTC Sexual Health Test Study is evaluating a personal PCR test for over the counter (OTC) use to find a better method for detecting certain STI infections.
This study is for investigational purposes only and is not intended to treat or diagnose any medical condition.
What will the OTC Sexual Health Test Study involve?
If you decide to participate in this study, a study staff member will ask you some questions including your reproductive history. Next, you will be asked to self-collect one vaginal swab and test it on the Visby Medical Personal PCR Women’s Sexual Health test.
Next, a health care professional will collect three additional vaginal swabs which will be sent to a lab for testing to compare with the results of the PCR Women’s Sexual Health test.
Personal health information will be securely stored and protected under current data protection rules and regulations.
Will I receive compensation?
Participants who qualify to take part in the study will receive compensation up to $75.

How far is the study site?
We match you to a study site within a close travel distance from your home. If we are not running the study in your area currently, with your permission, we will keep you in our database and reach out once a study in your area becomes available. If, at any time, you decided you no longer want your information stored, you can opt out and we will delete your details.
